You only pay for the users. Here are details:

Note that the license includes the limited-use Sametime client (and Sametime server), as well as entitlement for Lotus Traveler (mail synch with Windows Mobile devices).

If you are upgrading from another email product, you may also be eligible for a competitive discount.
